The King of Dragons is a side-scrolling hack and slash game released by Capcom in 1991. Take the role of an elf, wizard, fighter, cleric, or dwarf, and fight your way through 16 stages. The elf can use his bow to attack enemies at a distance, but is weak in close combat. The wizard is slow, but his magic and experience make up for his shortcomings. The fighter is highly skilled with his sword. The cleric relies on his intelligence as opposed to using edged weapons. The dwarf, while small and slow, has tremendous strength that allows him to handle himself well in battles. No matter which hero you choose, you will be challenged as you face a plethora of enemies like orcs, goblins, and skeletons. Killing these enemies will give you experience points, which will increase the power of your weapon or magic.
