Your objective is to remove pairs and clear the game board before the monkey reaches the top of the vine. Pairs can only be removed if they have at least one open side and are a maximum of two turns away from each other. There is an exception to this rule - if two identical images are sitting next to one another, they can be removed without the need for an open side.
